As a Meter Data Process Specialist, you will optimize meter data processes for the Belgian commodity markets by enhancing validation procedures and ensuring compliance with market regulations. Collaborating with Middle Office, IT, and business teams, you will drive improvements in meter data accuracy, invoicing, and imbalance reconciliation while staying aligned with regulatory developments in the energy market.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with Middle Office, Front Office, and the Invoicing and Balancing teams to detect, investigate, and resolve meter data issues.
• Validate received data to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Ensure timely, complete, and accurate data availability for invoicing and balancing purposes in collaboration with IT and Back Office teams.
• Enhance processes for timeliness and quality of market data while tracking projects and proposing actionable solutions.
• Coordinate and supervise technical and functional requirements drafting, resource management, and performance monitoring.
• Oversee external data providers, ensuring compliance with market rules for various commodities.
• Manage IT application architecture projects, including timelines, resources, and costs, while supervising system developments and changes.

What you bring & who you are:

• University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience managing IT projects in the energy or related sectors and/or metering data with IT collaboration within the Belgian energy sector.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• In-depth knowledge of hardware and software applications, particularly in the energy sector.
• Familiarity with data validation processes and the ability to monitor market changes.
• Experience with AI, Microsoft Azure, and agile project management is a plus.
• Fluent in English; Dutch or French is desirable, with additional languages being an advantage.
