Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Overtime Available
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Permanent
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable CDL Class A Driver to join our team in Kinston, NC. This role involves driving a new automatic flatbed truck to deliver products locally while ensuring all cargo is properly secured and transportation complies with DOT regulations. This is a local routes only position with no overnight travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strap and secure products safely for transport on a flatbed truck
- Deliver products to multiple client locations within the region
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on truck and flatbed
- Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) protocols
- Communicate clearly with clients and team members
Skills & Experience Required:
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Minimum 2 years of CDL Class A driving experience
- Flatbed experience is required
- Knowledge of basic preventative maintenance for an 18ft flatbed
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Personal Qualities:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Takes direction well and works well independently
- Reliable and safety-conscious
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Good hand strength
- Ability to safely strap down loads
Equipment Provided:
- New automatic flatbed truck (18ft)
Expected Results:
- Timely and safe delivery of products to clients
- Safe return of vehicle to the facility each day
