Job Title: Painter
Location: Penn Yan, NY
Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Pay Rate: $19 - $22 per hour (dependent on experience)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team on 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience and/or formal training in painting, with expertise in industrial or automotive applications. As part of this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings to vehicles, and equipment, ensuring the finish is consistent and meets safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
- Apply paints, primers, and other coatings to various surfaces using spray guns and other painting tools.
- Inspect finished work for quality and make adjustments or touch-ups as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Adhere to company policies and industry regulations regarding the use of paints and coatings.
- Work with supervisors and other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Perform regular maintenance on painting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial, automotive, or related painting fields, OR formal training in painting/coatings.
- Proven experience with spray painting equipment, air compressors, and other necessary tools.
- Knowledge of various painting techniques and the ability to apply finishes that meet quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
