Duties may include but are not limited to:

Duties will vary depending on the class specified.

• Hold regular office hours, so that TA can work closely with students to help them develop better Web, research, and writing skills.
• Be available for students outside of regular office hours for consultation.
• Offer Recitation Sessions for students (both synchronous and asynchronous)
• Help maintain the class Web site.

Additional duties may include correcting tests, homework assignments, and reports; recording grades; preparing handouts for distribution; finding articles, videos, and other resources for class; preparing class materials.

Qualifications:

Must have:

• Previously taken and demonstrated understanding of the course(s) (or in its close equivalent at another college or university);
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an interest in learning how to teach.
• Ability to effectively connect with a variety of learning styles.
• Previous experience as a TA is strongly preferred.

Rate: $17 per hour
