SMX is seeking a Solution Architect to lead Federal Financial Management solution initiatives and support sales teams in growing the Federal market. This role emphasizes cultivating strong client relationships, understanding agency needs, and driving financial management (FM) solutions. The Solution Architect will frequently lead a specialized team and collaborate closely with Business Development to meet sales and delivery objectives. Qualified candidates should have experience in selling and implementing ERP COTS solutions—whether on-premises or cloud-based—for federal agencies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of federal accounting and budgeting processes and play a key role in advancing FM solutions and business growth. This is a hybrid role working from our Herndon, VA office.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of this role involve working effectively within a team environment and leveraging the expertise of colleagues across the organization. You will support SMX's Treasury Financial Management (FM) marketplace solution and collaborate with growth teams throughout the business development lifecycle. A strong commitment to advancing company initiatives is essential.
Additional responsibilities include managing and enhancing our existing Treasury FM marketplace solutions, supporting growth and business development efforts by positioning and demonstrating FM solutions to federal clients. You will also work closely with internal development teams to improve FM offerings by incorporating feedback from federal customers. This role supports capture activities and coordinates with business development, program management, solution architecture, and growth teams to develop compelling proposals.

The proposed salary for this position is:
$148,100—$231,400 USD
