THE POSITION
As a Honeywell IT Manager – Compute Engineering is responsible for managing and coordinating the cloud infrastructure team, ensuring effective resource allocation and employee engagement. This role involves developing technology strategies, implementation plans, operational support and performance reporting of the cloud infrastructure and operations in collaboration with IT and business leadership, focusing on building scalable and supportable cloud infrastructure.
You will report directly to the Director of Data Center and Network Infrastructure who is also responsible for global networking and compute strategy and operations globally. This role will work out of our Morris Plains, Charlotte or Houston location on a hybrid work schedule. This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the compute infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and patching activities. Your role will involve ensuring the reliability, security, supportability and performance of our IT systems, as well as implementing and maintaining best practices for server and storage management. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our server and storage systems, ensuring they align seamlessly with the organization's evolving requirements. Your expertise in compute engineering, problem-solving capabilities, and ability to address complex technical challenges will be critical in maintaining our digital environment.
