  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical fields.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux platform, Android.
  • Experience with Camera Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) infrastructure.
  • Experience in software development for optimization power/performance.
  • Experience with embedded systems.

The Pixel Camera team is a collection of sub-teams organized around different parts of the camera stack, with some teams focused on Pixel specifically and some focused on the Android ecosystem, our mission is to build software experiences on the Pixel phones that leads the entire Android ecosystem. We're a team that's building the cameras and camera experiences to delight our users, partnering with teams across Google.The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on automation and Camera Apps usage data to analyze and optimize power/performance/memory.
  • Contribute to Android Camera Application programming interface (API) Compliance area to impact camera ecosystem.
  • Develop automation for testing, optimization and validating Camera API Compliance.
  • Collaborated with teams and developers to build excellent Camera App experience.
