About the Innovative Growth organization We own multiple product surfaces to serve TikTok's diverse content to different users and usage scenarios, including TikTok WebApp (www.tiktok.com ), Vehicle Infotainment Systems (Tesla, etc.), and TikTok Tablet Apps. We are continually expanding to new surfaces. Together they form an important traffic matrix for TikTok to keep growing its user base and user consumption. As a frontend software engineer in the TikTok User Growth - Innovative Growth org, you will: - Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to deliver high-quality, performant, and maintainable features and platforms, ensuring reliable and timely fulfillment of product requirements. - Participate in building and improving AI-powered systems and tools that support consumer-facing platforms. - Gain exposure to the technologies and systems behind one of the fastest-growing products globally. - Continuously learn and grow by collaborating with diverse colleagues, adopting new technologies, and solving complex industry challenges. - Contribute your expertise and perspectives to help evolve and scale the team, with opportunities to experiment with new technologies and implement your own ideas.
Minimum Qualifications: - Expert in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. - Experience modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular. - Strong technical and logical thinking skills for analyzing and solving complex problems. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and attention to user-centered design. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in web performance and experience optimization. - Experience with developing web-based smart/connected TV/Vehicle/Appliances apps, using DOM-based or Canvas-based solutions. - Experience with cross-platform solutions such as React Native, Electron. - Experience with module bundlers and building tools such as Webpack, Rollup, Vite, or Esbuild. - Experience with unit testing frameworks. - Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services. - data analytics mindset with hands-on experience in exploratory data analysis (EDA) using Python (pandas, Jupyter Notebook), SQL, Hive, BI tools, and building scalable data pipelines.
