Job Title:

Manager - Epic App Team - DIS Imaging

Job Summary:

Provides expertise and routine analysis in a specified area to ensure successful implementation of Epic software. Works collaboratively with information technology personnel, other Epic personnel, and users of Epic to provide operational support and to align and drive key electronic health records initiatives and programs.

Education & Experience

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Healthcare, or a related field and six (6) years information systems or healthcare experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: Certification or accreditation required in at least one of the following Epic modules: ASAP, Beacon, Beaker, Bridges, Cadence, Cupid, Ambulatory, ClinDoc, Orders, GrandCentral, Healthy Planet, OpTime/Anesthesia, Prelude, Resolute PB or HB, Stork, Willow or Wisdom. Multiple Epic application certifications or accreditations.

Preferred Qualifications: RHIA, CAHIMSS, CPHIMSS and/or other related certifications preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proven ability to be flexible and accomplish assigned work, both independently and in a team environment, in a high-pressure on-call environment with changing priorities. Shows initiative in proactively moving tasks/assignments forward.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, mentors, evaluates Epic analysts. Communicates and works effectively with team members, supervisors and customers.
  • Determines proper system implementation parameters, for smooth integration, transition and efficiency of medium to large projects and break/fix level. Analyzes, detects, identifies and corrects technical problems and deficiencies at large projects and break/fix level. Implements business continuity procedures.
  • Determines requirements, designs, builds, tests, implements, maintains, documents and enhances business systems at large project/program level.
  • Develop test plans for large changes and supervises testing to ensure systems and programs are tested and debugged.
  • Able to train customers on assigned applications and assists dedicated trainers in the development of training materials.
  • Submit documentation on issues, tasks performed, project statuses and other requests in timely fashion including actual resource hours used to complete the above.
  • Work with operational owners to support design and support development of new business processes.
  • Monitors compliance and assists in the development of internal and institutional policies and operating procedures.
