Position Focus:

Yale is seeking a dynamic, seasoned IT Business Systems Analyst 3 to serve on the Health Sciences IT (HSIT) team. Reporting to the Director of Software Solutions and Engineering, and in partnership with the Application Services team, the candidate will meet with key stakeholders to collect, collate, and analyze requirements, manage project timelines, coordinate project activities, and create high-quality business requirements documentation for custom application development and vendor software implementation. The IT Business Systems Analyst 3 will also be responsible for ensuring project deliverables meet business needs, are on schedule, and within budget.

Principal Responsibilities:

Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for custom application development and vendor software implementations, ensuring alignment with business needs and organizational goals.

Independently lead business process improvement initiatives, documenting "as is" and "to be" business processes using standard modeling tools and methodologies.

Conduct comprehensive business case analysis to recommend optimal technical, application, or configuration solutions.

Translate business requirements into software specifications and process improvements, prioritizing initiatives based on impact and risk analysis.

Create and maintain project charters and project plans, defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.

Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure successful delivery within defined scope and timeline.

Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to drive project execution and address risks proactively.

Lead project governance, establish project milestones, and monitor project progress to ensure alignment with business requirements.

Communications:

Conduct meetings to elicit requirements and provide project updates.

Present to senior leadership and other groups during all phases of a project.

Document and deliver concise analysis obtained during requirements gathering, allowing business owners to make informed decisions regarding options for problem resolution.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

Degree in business, technology, or related field, and 6 yrs experience in analysis of business needs and development of related business systems or equivalent combination. Experience in the Salesforce and OutSystems platform. Experience with Higher Education and Health Sciences. PMP or related project management certification. Familiarity with agile/waterfall methodologies and tools.
