Necessary qualifications and skills: Active Arkansas RN license required. BSN preferred. 2-5 years experience with knowledge of the principles of nursing care for clients spanning a wide range of ages. Demonstrated leadership abilities and good communication skills.

Summary: Provides leadership and direction to hospital staff during hours in which administrative personnel are not physically present in the hospital. Acts as a liaison between medical staff, administrative team, patient care team, and hospital guests as needed. Directs staffing adjustments of patient care units on an ongoing basis. Promotes open communications and a positive service management approach to problem solving. Maintains clinical expertise sufficient to serve as a clinical resource person and assist nursing personnel in the delivery of care in emergency situations or as back up to staff.

  • Demonstration of ethical and professional conduct.
  • Delivers feedback on an ongoing basis to nursing staff regarding their performance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and associate information.
  • Attend unit meetings.
  • Regularly provides direct clinical assistance to nursing care areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
