1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Must have Arkansas HPBL, or the ability to obtain.

2. Training and Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred. Has skilled knowledge of plumbing, electricity, construction (carpentry), pneumatics and HVAC equipment and systems.

3. Job Knowledge: Has ability to read and interpret blue prints.

DESCRIPTION:

Has the ability to perform the following tasks, but not limited to these:

1. All phases of general maintenance work (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, etc.).

2. Ability to communicate (oral and written).

3. Act as a security guard as needed.

4. Ability to lift heavy objects.

5. Ability to assume rotating shifts after initial orientation period.

6. Ability to take oral and written instruction.

7. Self-starter.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
