Your Role

The primary purpose of the IT Application Expert is to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of IT systems within the organization. The role is responsible for providing consultation, in-depth knowledge and support for your responsible Application and its integration with surrounding systems. It involves collaborating with various departments to support launching new applications, implementations of change/feature requests and release management of the Application. The IT Application Expert plays a crucial role in supporting digital transformation initiatives by implementing modern technologies and automation solutions. The position contributes to enhancing the company's digital ecosystem, ensuring efficient and effective IT operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Application Expertise including understanding of the capabilities and limitations of application, architecture, database schemas, and development tools so as to properly and creatively use features to meet client needs.
• Provide expertise in systems integration, interfacing, application performance, scalability, reliability and security to support implementation of optimal integration solutions.
• Understanding of surrounding and supporting systems like SSO, Webservices etc.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of a client implementation including Preparation, Design, Implementation, and Operations/Maintenance.
• Collaborate with BU and other teams to translate business requirements into solution design specifications for develop and creating supporting integrations tests.
• Provide Level 3 support for applications under your responsibility and communicate with vendor support on all issues with commercial applications.
• Create and maintain detailed and clear system documentation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.

Your Skills and Experiences

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• Proven experience with one or more of the following technolo-gies: Python, Java, JavaScript, Web Services (Rest, Soap, JMS, …), XML.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with database technologies (Oracle, Postgres are preferred) including normalization, constraints, indexes, triggers, and SQL.
• Experience with Unix/Linux is a plus.
• Proven ability to understand BU requirements, assess business needs and translate them into form of high quality solution design.
• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are necessary.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
