We’re looking for a Senior Epic Systems Analyst, someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will have a major role in developing Epic application solutions by investigating processes to understand data and communications flow with individual tasks and transactions within an Integrated Delivery System.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Translates users’ needs into detail requirement specifications.
  • Identifies system or application needs.
  • Analysis of current business practices, user needs and workflow processes.
  • Document the current as is & to be business processes.
  • Perform vendor analysis and make recommendations.
  • Investigate alternative solutions including feasibility studies using results from vendor analysis/evaluations.
  • Facilitates and supports Epic system installation through the implementation cycle.
  • Performs configuration analysis for system design.
  • Analyzes system problems and modifications.
  • Coordinates implementation and upgrades of systems.
  • Participates in the IDS Committee as an IS representative.

Skills & Requirements

  • Required H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Preferred bachelor's degree computer science, business administration, healthcare administration or another related field
  • Preferred Epic certification
  • Required 9 years' experience in hospital information systems selection, implementation, and support
  • Bachelor’s degree will substitute four (4) years of work experience. Master’s degree will substitute for two (2) years of work experience.
  • Up to two (2) years of clinical patient care and/or clinical research experience may substitute for up to two (2) years of information systems experience on a month-to-month basis.

Note: We are looking for candidates that have

  • Experience in the management of Breast Milk and/or Formula
  • The workflows associated with the preparations and dispensing of them.

Three private OB/GYN practices, The Family Fertility Center, The Menopause Center and The Women’s Place – Center for Reproductive Psychiatry are all housed here. Additionally, we also recently opened a community-based OB/GYN practice in Pearland.
