[What the role is]

Senior Manager / Manager, Data Platform Engineering

[What you will be working on]

You would assist Deputy Director for the strategic planning of the ops-tech employment of data engineering at LTA, management of enterprise data warehouse ecosystem, capabilities development and incubation of open innovation via sandbox environments and for the tactical planning and agile, lean, inclusive execution of sectoral common data platforms across key domains of rail, road, bus and vehicle to align with Land Transport Technology Roadmap. You would leverage the data engineering team to establish LTA-wide data architecture to harmonise data taxonomy and facilitate cross-functional use-cases. In addition, you will grow LTA-wide capabilities in exploiting multi-domain data for grounds-up open innovation via PLANET enterprise data warehouse and sandbox environments with low-code AI tools. Beyond these, you will engage land transport industry and research institutions to exploit the open data products to expand the development of land transport research and digital solutions for public good

[What we are looking for]

• Knowledge in Tertiary education that includes quantitative analysis
• At least 5 years of relevant experience and track record in data platforms and at least 2 years of relevant experience in designing and developing data platform solutions and with at least 2 years on project management
• Ability to create and present business cases including both cost and benefits for proposed and actual projects
• Strong execution skills with the ability to develop both long and short term plans
• Ability to lead independently to engage, motivate and build team’s capabilities towards completion of assigned tasks and plans
• Excellent knowledge in data engineering and good project management skills to ensure data analytics projects and business insights are delivered within budget and schedule
• Good business/data acumen and problem solving ability to ensure that business insights are effective in enabling business decisions
• Ability to leverage innovative use of technology and inter-disciplinary concepts and at the same time fulfill business objective
