Responsibilities

TikTok UX team is responsible for the product design of the TikTok app. Our key vertical ownership areas include Core app Product Infrastructure, Social, Search, Creation, and Design Systems. Providing professional design methods and practices, the team helps improve user experience and working efficiency of these products and areas. Responsibilities - Design for TikTok, a global short-form video platform that inspires creativity and brings joy to users around the world. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, researchers, UX writers, and engineers to drive user-centered design solutions. - Contribute to all stages of the product development lifecycle, from early ideation and prototyping to high-fidelity design and final implementation. - Rapidly prototype concepts, design intuitive user flows grounded in data and user research, gather feedback from stakeholders, iterate quickly, and deliver polished, user-focused products. - Take ownership of the end-to-end user experience, continuously optimizing designs to meet evolving user needs and business goals.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - Proven experience in UX and UI design, with a track record of leading design projects from strategy through launch. - Strong attention to detail and a high bar for visual and interaction design quality. - Agile and iterative design mindset, able to explore a wide range of ideas quickly. - Open and receptive to feedback, with a collaborative and patient approach to design challenges. - Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to rapid changes. - Excellent communication and storytelling skills to articulate design rationale and vision. - A global mindset with a strong awareness of international digital product trends and user behaviors. Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years designing UX for consumer-facing mobile and web products, ideally in the content creation or consumption space. - Experience with A/B testing, experimentation platforms, and data-driven design decisions. - Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams and manage stakeholder expectations. - Familiarity with front-end technologies and development workflows. - Passionate about TikTok, its community, culture, and the power of creative expression.
