Assistant Brand Manager - Innovations and A&M

Responsibilities

  1. Innovation:
  • Support in develop innovation idea & concept.
  • Support in Gate document preparation, including P&L alignment.
  • Support in formulation development
  • Research: co-work & assist Insight for all related research projects, from Product/ Consumer/ Market research.
  • Lead packaging design. This require working closely with internal (QC, GP, Production, Supply & Demand team) to deliver on time in full: product registration, product trial, transition plan, co-work with supplier (film/ material) for color proof/ sample test/ standard sample approval.
  • Co-ordinate & lead MKT deployment lanch plan.
  • Monitoring & tracking performance.
  1. Business Operation & Financial Management:
  • A&M (advertising & marketing) tracking & management of his/ her brands/ businesses
  • Work closely with Marketing Lead, Marketing Manager, and relevant cross functions to allocate & monitor A&M budget.
  • Prepare paperwork for getting A&M budget approval.
  • Work closely with Planning (Accountant Team) to reconcile A&M budget monthly, quarterly & year-end.
  • P2P process: lead & ensure all projects/task comply with process.
  • Tracking competitor activities.
  • Deploy pricing strategy: Upgram/ Degram.
  1. Monitor market/ consumers:
  • Tracks and continuously improves performance of initiatives.
  • Examine brand market data (Retail Audit, Brand Health Tracking & other ad-hoc studies) to understand brand’s issues/ opportunities & advise Marketing Manager as well as Commercial Team.
  • Conduct market/ consumer visit to obtain feedbacks.
  • Monitors competitor activity and growth opportunities.
  • Improves implementation to increase performance and competitiveness.
  1. GCS:
  • Support Markering manager to perform control roles and responsibility in accordance with PepsiCo Accountability model.
  • Support Process Owner in driving GCS agenda. Understand the objective of the assigned control(s) and document the test script attributes for effective execution of the control, evaluate control effectiveness through testing as per GCS guidelines and maintain an audit trail to evidence execution of the activities.
  • Ensure timely remediation of any control deficiencies.
  1. Advertising & management:
  • Lead Advertising & Marketing (A&M) process & budget including reporting and monitor marketing budget to ensure compliance with A&M spending.
  • Consolidate Annual Operating Plan A&M budget for the entire Marketing team by working with the Brands to understand their activities, and Marketing calendar, then verify, analyze with historical data and propose to Marketing Lead for review and alignment
  • Track Marketing fund/A&M budget, support Marketing manager to provide guidance to the team to open, spend, claim and book accrual in accordance with SOA and sit down with Planning to reconcile data on monthly basis.
  1. Team development:
  • Coach 1 Marketing Assistant to upgrade her skills to deliver high performance team.

Qualifications

  • University graduation in marketing, economics or related fields
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experiences, preferable in FMCG
  • Ability to work with both statistics and creativity.
  • Work well as individual and team members.
  • Innovative mindset with curiosity and long term view.
  • Good interpersonal, logical & analytical thinking, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, responsibility, flexible, open-minded, result-oriented, hard-working, passion for growth, eager to learn.
  • Good at English and literate in Microsoft Office.
