Job Description
Performs radiographic and/or provides patient care services and evaluates outcomes.
- Performs radiographic and/or medical imaging and related procedures to demonstrate structures for interpretations and/or therapeutic intervention by or at the request of the practitioner.
- Provides and documents correct hemodynamic data and other required information to interpreting provider.
- Provides safety measures for patients undergoing procedures.
- Performs and modifies patient care activities pre, intra, and post procedurally to encompass individual patient needs.
- Communicates variances or significant events/results to appropriate caregiver.
- Reports patient status and availability regularly.
- Maintains supplies and equipment inventory.
- Stocks and prepares procedure rooms for daily cases.
- Maintains inventory level to meet needs.
- Orders supplies for diagnostic and interventional procedures daily.
- Maintains quality control and quality assurance for division equipment.
- Performs quality monitoring activities for equipment, film, and radiation exposure.
- Participates in quality assurance monitoring within the Division.
- Assumes any applicable responsibility for assigned equipment; reporting any equipment malfunctions./or medical imaging and related
Education: Associate's Degree from an accredited school in radiologic technology
Experience: None
Licensure: Certification and registration as a radiological technologist through the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT). Must have a valid MS license.
Skills:
- Proficient skills using and operating equipment and instruments utilized in patient care procedures
- Skills and ability to interpret physicians' instruction
- Ability to care for incapacitated patients and to identify patient's needs.
