The University of Wisconsin-Madison is looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to serve as our next Assistant Dean of Students/Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards within the Student Affairs division. This pivotal role involves leading the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards (OSCCS) and overseeing the university's efforts to maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming campus environment for everyone.
The Assistant Dean/Director will be responsible for managing and adjudicating cases of student misconduct, which include both academic and non-academic alleged violations. This role requires a strong commitment to restorative justice principles and an educational approach to student discipline. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to promote ethical behavior and uphold community standards throughout the university.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in student affairs, higher education administration, or a related field, along with significant experience in student conduct administration. Excellent communication, leadership, strong attention to detail, and conflict resolution skills are essential for success in this role.
Provides general leadership to student life. Assists in defining, interpreting and implementing goals and objectives for the dean of students office.

The expected starting salary range for this position is $110,197 up to $120,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards is responsible for working with students to resolve academic and nonacademic disciplinary matters. This includes receiving reports of alleged misconduct, conducting an investigation, ensuring that students receive due process and fair treatment throughout the hearing process, and maintaining student disciplinary records.
