The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) School of Medicine – Pediatrics is seeking a part-time (4 hours per week), contractual C1 Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to independently provide ambulatory or acute care in a clinical setting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master's in Nursing or Doctorate in Nursing
Experience: Current national certification from AANPNCB or other national certifying body (requires 18 months under a NP mentor before becoming certified) is required.
Supervisory Experience: n/a
Certification/Licensure: Current Maryland license in good standing issued by the Maryland Board of Nursing to practice as a nurse practitioner or appropriate federal district licensure where research is conducted.
Licensed with specific patient population and/or specialty area of practice is required.
Other: Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Thorough knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Ability to support the Care Clinic’s mission.
