Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our graphite machining facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing leadership, with a focus on process optimization, quality control, and operational efficiency. This role requires hands-on leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a dynamic industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management:
- Oversee all daily operations of the graphite machining facility, including production, maintenance, logistics, and quality assurance.
- Ensure all machining processes meet performance, safety, and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity, reduce waste, and improve turnaround times.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, manage, and develop department heads and production staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety.
- Conduct performance reviews, training, and workforce planning in collaboration with HR.
- Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, efficiency, and cost control.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality.
- Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of business strategies in line with corporate objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities, client needs, and market trends related to graphite machining and specialty carbon products.
- Customer Relations:
- Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting delivery deadlines and quality expectations.
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to align production capabilities with client needs.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Promote and enforce company policies and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in graphite machining or similar industries (carbon, metals, precision machining, etc.).
- Strong understanding of CNC machining, materials handling, and graphite-specific processes.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and lean manufacturing principles.
