Visiting Assistant Professor Theological Studies - Christian Ethics

The Department of Theological Studies at Loyola Marymount University invites applications for a one-year (2025-2026) Visiting Assistant Professor position in Christian Ethics beginning Fall semester 2025.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach three courses a semester (usually two course preparations per semester). This includes a lower-division Introduction to Christian Ethics course (core area is Theological Inquiry) as well as upper-division courses in the core areas of Faith & Reason and Ethics & Justice courses.

Applicants should have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in the humanities, including an emphasis on the cultivation of close reading, and an interest in the educational mission that animates a Jesuit/Catholic liberal arts higher education. Applicants should have a PhD in the relevant field; ABDs will also be considered.
