Western National is seeking a Facility Operations Associate to join our team!

The individual in this role will have the opportunity to assist in building operations and maintenance.

What are the responsibilities and opportunities of this role?

  • Provides daily customer service to employees regarding facilities-related needs.
  • Receives, records, delivers, and stores stock; maintains inventory and organizes storage areas.
  • Maintains order and cleanliness of the loading dock for deliveries.
  • Installs, moves, and reconfigures cubicles and office furniture.
  • Sets up conference rooms and common spaces for internal meetings and events.
  • Checks fire extinguishers and maintains related inspection logs.
  • Tests emergency lighting and documents results.
  • Maintains building interior and exterior spaces, including snow removal, trash cleanup, and carpet care.
  • Performs routine light-duty repairs / troubleshooting (e.g., door hardware, minor plumbing, furniture).
  • Follows documented procedures carefully when maintaining or servicing office equipment.
  • Performs other miscellaneous tasks that arise on a daily basis.
  • Delivers solutions and decisions that have a positive impact.
  • Develops work independently but regularly asks for direction, priority, and help.
  • Demonstrates fair and consistent decision making.
  • Demonstrates intermediate analytical skills.
  • Looks for opportunities to improve processes.
  • Understands the importance of preventive maintenance and process adherence.
  • Consistently acts according to our customer experience standards, including responding quickly, maintaining a positive attitude, building rapport, demonstrating empathy, managing the customer’s expectations, using the proper communication channel for the situation, and taking ownership to ensure the customer’s issue is resolved.

Requirements

What are the must-have qualifications for a candidate?

  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to occasionally run errands if needed in a company vehicle.
  • Working knowledge of Outlook and Windows applications.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain a Minnesota Boiler license within the first year of employment.
  • Ability to work professionally with all departments and employees.
  • Accurate and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient use of various core systems, office and computer equipment, and software packages.

What will our ideal candidate have?

  • Boiler experience.

Compensation overview

The full hiring range for this role is $20.30 - $26.84, hourly. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role. Candidates looking for compensation outside of the posted range are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their individual qualifications and / or may be considered for other positions.
