Spherion Staffing & Recruiting of Lake, Marion, and Sumter Counties is seeking skilled and safety-conscious Material Handlers / Forklift Operators to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to move, locate, and stack materials within our facility. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient operations and maintaining a safe working environment.

Various shifts available (scheduled subject to change):

DECO Department:

1st Shift Material Handler (Reach Truck) - Ocala Start Date: As soon as possible Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour Hours: 7:00am - 7:00 pm Schedule: 2 days on, 2 days off, etc.

2nd Shift Material Handler (Reach Truck) - Ocala Start Date: As soon as possible Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour Hours: 7:00pm - 7:00am Schedule: 2 days on, 2 days off, etc.

POPCORN Department:

1st Shift Material Handler (Sit-down Forklift) - Start Date: As soon as possible Start Pay: $15.00 per hour Schedule: Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:00pm; Overtime when required.

2nd Shift Material Handler (Sit-down Forklift) - Start Date: June 2, 2025 Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour Schedule: Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 1:00am; Overtime when required.

DC Department:

1st Shift Material Handler (Reach Truck) - Start Date: As early as June Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00pm

2nd Shift Material Handler (Reach Truck) - Start Date: As early as June Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour Schedule: Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 11:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company policies regarding safety practices in the workplace.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Skills:

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Great verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating sit down and reach truck (high lift) forklifts.
• Familiarity with materials handling procedures and best practices.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job.
