We're currently looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Toronto studio. As the successful candidate, you have demonstrated creativity, a collaborative spirit, and a thirst for excellence while striving to make a positive difference in the world. Our structural engineers don't just focus on the design of elements, they are involved with the entire building, understanding the complications of mechanical and electrical systems, and architectural requirements have on their design.

How you'll make a difference:

  • Acting as a design engineer on a variety of building projectsof various sizes and complexity.
  • Following through all phases of projects from concept design through construction.
  • Being driven to provide the highesttechnicalqualityin thedeliveryof designs,drawings,specifications, and in the field.
  • Work with DIALOG's robust Specifiers to develop construction specifications.
  • Working closely with our integrated team of architects, interior designers, landscape architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, as well as other partner firms.
  • Prepare contract documents to evaluate tenders.
  • Building relationships of trust with clients and other outside agencies.
  • Opportunity to manage projects while working with limited supervision and participate in project planning.
  • Supervise and inspect the installation, modification, testing and operation of structural design.
  • Provide Contract Administration support for your projects.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering is required, Master’s Degree or PhD is preferred.
  • 5-8 years of related industry experience and eligibility of P.Eng.
  • Proficient in Revit.
  • LEED accreditation is considered an asset.
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator that can convey complex technical concepts to non-technical firm leaders, staff and clients.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines and multiple tasks/projects.
