The Ecosystem & Operational Risk team is responsible for building critical risk and fraud detection services at Visa. This includes idea generation, architecture, design, development, and testing of products, applications, and services that provide solutions to detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud for Visa and its clients.

Essential Functions

• Identify appropriate technical solutions and/or products and designs that will best prepare the company to meet present and future business objectives.
• To be successful in the role, you will be required to have deep knowledge of computer science fundamentals, micro-services, monolithic applications and its related technologies, multi-tiered architecture and specific experience in designing complex solutions and highly resilient systems
• Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data driven business solutions.
• Design the most appropriate solution with well understood tradeoffs that meets the business requirements.
• Manage the creation of several artifacts relating to the detail design and use cases that are solved for.
• Drive development effort End-to-End for on-time delivery of high-quality solutions that conform to requirements, conform to the architectural vision, and comply with all applicable standards. Responsibilities span all phases of solution development.
• Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms. Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.
• Engagement in requirements definition and clarification in collaboration with Business to ensure completeness and common understanding of the business needs is important.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 7

years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,

MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work

experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 15 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of

experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years

of work experience with a PhD

• Experience in delivering enterprise-class, mission-critical, commercial, and

scalable products, at least 3 years of which were in the role of an architect or a

lead developer.

• Mandatory experience with n-tier web application development and REST API’s.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience and deep knowledge/expertise in software

product development with the following technologies/frameworks: Java/J2EE,

Spring, Hibernate, RDBMS, NoSQL DB, Kafka, Redis and Containers-based

Backend REST APIs Applications. Additionally, experience includes frontend

development using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and

Angular.

• Hands on experience with database technologies like MySQL, DB2, Oracle.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux and working in a shell environment.
• Experience in Micro Services, Service Mesh, Containers, DevOps is a big plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Should be

comfortable facilitating multi-team activities.

• Strong leadership skills and comfortable presenting complex ideas to small

and large groups in a clear and concise way. Candidate should be confident in

their ability to influence and develop relationships with key partners.
