Your Role

  • Analyze planned orders and convert them into purchase requisitions for raw material procurement.
  • Liaise with purchasing and planning teams to resolve issues affecting raw material availability.
  • Challenge minimum order quantities that may cause overstock or understock issues.
  • Identify and highlight unique materials to Sales and Customer Service, and request stock underwrites where necessary.
  • Ensure raw materials are available for production and coordinate timely call-off from customers.
  • Verify forecasts with Customer Service, particularly for unique or long-lead-time materials.
  • Monitor and manage shelf warmers and obsolete materials; update SAP and collaborate with other Symrise sites to reallocate or sell stock.
  • Maintain and update SAP product master data, including safety stocks and product classifications.
  • Monitor delivery schedules to balance daily tonnage targets.
  • Prepare and distribute EAME reports quarterly.
  • Process raw material orders from other sites as required.
  • Run BBE (Best Before End) reports, check stock nearing expiry, and liaise with Quality Control on possible revalidation.
  • Support new product development by reviewing formulations and identifying potential raw material issues in collaboration with Purchasing.

About You

Education:

  • Minimum: Secondary School education
  • Preferred: Further qualifications in planning, supply chain, or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in production planning
  • Experience in the food production or FMCG sector preferred
  • Previous experience with SAP and inventory management systems

Skills and Competencies:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (intermediate level)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • High level of customer focus and cost-consciousness
  • Flexible, open-minded, and self-motivated
