Job Description

  • Develop and Implement strategies for growth defined with clearly mapped out opportunities for the short, medium and long term.
  • Maintain close contact with the Global BDM, product and segment experts when developing the longer-term plan for Mpumalanga.
  • To establish strategic alliances with OEMs and EPCs, cultivating long term commitment and co-operation for mutual benefit and added value.
  • Establish and maintain contracts and contacts across the Region appropriate for the successful and profitable management of the Region.
  • Prepare Sales plans and maintain a high level of forecast accuracy with monthly planning and reporting.
  • Attend to all incoming telephonic and e-mail enquiries, giving special attention to technical and commercial matters as well as provide outstanding customer support.
  • Process and coordinate orders with the CST to ensure that the customer receives their complete order by the required date and to the correct specification.
  • Keep abreast of new developments in Mpumalanga as well as competitor activities.
  • Develop and maintain a customer relationship management (CRM) database that accurately tracks projects, opportunities, orders and sales.
  • Develop a detailed customer action plan focused on growing existing business and entering strategic markets with new products and services.
  • Create and maintain the customer/sales data base (plant surveys) as well as prices and contracts.
  • Create a strategic marketing and communication plan including events, workshops, advertising and communication with a calendar of events for the year.
  • Maintain a detailed competitive matrix file. Carry out market research on competitors. Develop a competitive analysis tracker, complete with competitor movements and market share.
  • Assist finance department in resolving payment issues.
  • Prepare and achieve annual orders and sales budgets.
  • Analyze, present and manage strategic growth initiatives, devise, establish and implement the most appropriate sales organization for Mpumalanga, challenge current road to market and pursue fresh ideas to further cement our market dominance.
  • Develop team through implementation of respective IDP’s

Qualifications

  • MBA Degree or equivalent
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree.
  • 10 years’ Sales industry experience, including 5 years of experience within organizational development experience, including succession planning and employee development.
  • A strong understanding for the management of P&L.
  • Strong understanding and experience of dealing with complex commercial agreements and contracts. NEC3 contract negotiation advantageous.
  • Able to influence and establish new relationships as well as strengthen existing relationships.
