The Centre for Micro- & Nano-Electronics (CMNE) is a key research centre established within the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University. It aims to advance scientific knowledge and spearhead innovative technologies in micro/nanoelectronics technologies for the benefit of humanity.

We are looking for a Research Associate to develop logic circuits (e.g., ring oscillator, inverter, etc.) using GaN D-mode and E-mode HEMTS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development of D-mode and E-mode GaN HEMT
  • Development of logic circuits (i.e., ring oscillator, inverter, etc.)
  • Optimization of device and circuit performance
  • Prepare and submit Journal and Conference publication.
  • Assist PI in writing proposal grants and supervision of graduate and undergraduate students.

Job Requirement:

  • Master’s (for Research Associate equivalent) degree in domain discipline or related field
  • Cleanroom fabrication experiences (GaN HEMT)
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in hard skills / job-specific abilities acquired through training e.g. specific programming languages, numeric and analytical skills
  • Competent in soft skills / general personality traits e.g. information visualization, interaction design
  • Interpersonal skills (e.g. Ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details / excellent organizational / time management skills)
  • Strong passion for pushing the boundary of human knowledge in science and engineering domain
