POSITION SUMMARY:

It is expected that the RN will meet the performance standards within the three-month introductory period. A completed Competency Checklist must be on file with the Nurse Director prior to the three-month evaluation.

The RN ensures quality and appropriateness of care for all age groups in the (department) unit patient population to include neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. He or she demonstrates an ability to incorporate knowledge of patient’s age, growth, and developmental level into the provision of care. Must have at least two (2) years of acute care experience.

PER DIEM POOL AGREMENT:

  • Work 6 shifts per 4-week schedule period to include 2 weekend shifts
  • Work 1 Major Holiday (Christmas Day and New Year’s Day)
  • Work 1 Minor Holiday (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving)

PER DIEM POOL CLUSTERS:

  • Med-Surg/Telemetry
  • ED/ICU
  • Will be required to float to other units based on competency.

INCENTIVE

Incentive: $3,500 sign on bonus to be paid:

  • $1,000 after 25 successful consecutives shifts no call offs and the employee is in good standing
  • $2,500 to be paid out after the next 45 shifts with no call offs and the employee is in good standing
