Post Trade Regulatory Reporting (PTRR) is a department within Markets which owns an estate of systems built on the PTRR Platform. The systems cover a range of functions from the generation of LEIs and ISINs for the UK to the regulatory reporting systems like EMIR Trade Repository and MiFIR Reporting. All are underpinned by the PTRR Platform, an ETL and visualisation suite developed in-house since 2006.
The PTRR Solutions Engineering team traditionally manages the configuration layer of systems created on the PTRR Platform, from initial blank install to initial delivery and then on into feature development and maintenance releases. Recent releases such as EMIR Refit have seen a move to incorporate technologies currently outside the PTRR Platform, with integration back to the Platform.
Based in the Technology centre in Bucharest, Romania, the Solution Engineer will work within a Scrum team to apply business requirements to develop productions that satisfy customer needs. They will also provide assistance to support the product in the live environment by performing in depth analysis of raised issues and developing fixes to remediate the problems.
The role reports to the Scrum team’s technical lead.

Demonstrates knowledge of technologies within LSEG and how they relate to various parts of the business
Develops tools and applications by producing clean and efficient code, may also review others' code when required

Leads design work and planning for user stories

Will work within an agile framework, participating in all ceremonies and working collaboratively with colleagues.
Write clean, efficient code using SQL Server to translate Business Requirements into efficient Solution functionality.
Has a strong emphasis on build quality which is achieved by adhering to best practise and also thorough unit testing.
Work closely with Site Reliability Engineers to understand problems in the production environment, perform detailed analysis to find the cause and remediate the problem through code fixes or documented processes.
To own one’s changes through the build and test phases and also deploy to the production environment.
Candidate Profile / Key Skills:

3+ years experience in :
Must have excellent query writing skills in SQLServer, most notably:
DDL ie. Create /alter/drop tables and views
DML ie. Insert / delete from tables, select and update columns from tables.
Aggregating data ie. Calculate sum, count, min,max of values in a given data set, using group by
Good awareness and understanding of SQL query performance optimization
Experience in Python - min 2 years;
Able to demonstrate good analytical and problem solving skills.
Sound written and verbal communication skills and ability to present ideas to others.
Good knowledge of Agile and SDLC processes
Bonus skills:
Knowledge of Snowflake, Powershell is very beneficial
Knowledge of cloud concepts, data warehouse and services is desirable.
