The Steward Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized back-of-house environment while overseeing the stewarding team in the absence of the Executive Steward.

This working supervisor position requires hands-on leadership and collaboration with the Food & Beverage team to ensure seamless event execution and proper handling of banquet equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the cleanliness and organization of all stewarding areas, including back halls and loading docks
• Supervise stewarding team members and provide support during peak periods and staffing gaps
• Maintain inventory of all banquet equipment and supplies; ensure accurate issuance and return based on function pull sheets prepared by Banquet Captains
• Ensure proper rotation and condition of banquet equipment to support event quality
• Perform daily sweeping, mopping, and general cleaning to maintain a safe and sanitary workspace
• Work closely with Banquets and Culinary teams to meet operational needs
• Uphold all procedures for safe food and beverage handling, cleaning, and chemical use
• Maintain a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead by example and foster a positive team environment
• Must be able to walk and stand throughout the entire shift
• Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach overhead regularly
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and detergents
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
