Claims Team
We're Norton Rose Fulbright - a global law firm with over 50 offices and 7,000 employees worldwide. We provide the world’s preeminent corporations and financial institutions with a full business law service. At Norton Rose Fulbright, our strategy and our culture are closely entwined. We know that our expansion will mean little unless it is underpinned by truly global collaboration and we understand that pioneering work only takes place when our people have room to move and think beyond boundaries. As well as the relevant skills and experience, we're looking for people who are innovative, commercial and value the work that they do.
The Team
In our Newcastle Office, we are re-engineering our legal processes and trialing new technologies and the Claims Team is a key function within our legal transformation program, Transform. The Claims Team is a team of 12 claims professionals working on some of our highest profile mandates, particularly in the aviation and payments sectors.
The Role
This role will be focused on management of County Court disputes, primarily for corporate clients, seeking to assist them with all manner of disputes, which whilst generally small claims often involve considerable complexity.
As a Senior Claims Controller, you will be responsible for providing the highest standard of claims management and colleague support. You will play a critical part in our service delivery and in achieving outcomes for key clients of the firm. You’ll also support the growth of our firm and client offerings from our Newcastle office, currently handling all types of dispute resolution and litigation for a growing client base.
A role model and experienced, you’ll be a point of contact to support both claims management and solicitors with more technical queries from colleagues as well as clients. You will assist in quality control, role modelling the best practices and process adherence, whilst controlling a caseload of more complex or strategic litigation matters. You will bring your strong work ethic and positive attitude to this role, providing support to teams around our global network. You will be expected to have experience coaching, mentoring and developing colleagues over time and be versatile and work across numerous work streams, continuously assessing and improving it over time.
Our legal transformation program, within which the Claims Team sits, promotes the use of a number of cutting-edge technology tools to optimise the delivery of efficient legal services and to facilitate innovation; the Senior Claims Controller will embrace and support the development of these tools.
