Your impact

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Oracle DBA Manager to lead our team of Database Administrators in supporting, maintaining, and optimizing our Oracle database environments. This role will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring high availability and performance, and driving database strategy, upgrades, and migrations in alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Oracle database administration, leadership capabilities, and a strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure and data security practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Oracle DBAs, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of Oracle database systems, including Exadata and Data Guard environments.
  • Ensure database availability, integrity, security, and performance across production, development, and test environments.
  • Collaborate with application development, analytics, and infrastructure teams to support business initiatives and application requirements.
  • Drive patching, upgrades, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery strategies in compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX).
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Establish and maintain documentation, standards, and policies for database management and operations.
  • Manage capacity planning, licensing, and cost optimization of Oracle environments.
  • Participate in strategic planning for cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point and contribute to incident and problem management processes.
  • Plus experience with EBS application modules and web logic
  • We provide flexible schedules but expect off hour calls with global team members and application updates

Here's what you'll need

  • 6+ years experience in Oracle database administration
  • At least 2-3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Exadata, RMAN, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix system administration and shell scripting.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks such as SOX and best practices for security and change control.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment with multiple priorities.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s preferred

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

160,000.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

180,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $160,000.00 to $180,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
