The Role:

We are looking for a passionate candidate who can work on a professional and future-oriented cloud product management unit. Ideally, you bring a track record in leading multi-national cloud and state-of-the-art SaaS units and are used to working in a fast-paced and agile organization. You will need to drive your team towards a true SaaS mindset and setup, and quickly establish credibility and trust with key SAP leaders, product marketing and product management teams, engineering teams, customers, and your future peers. As a product manager, you will have a CEO mindset, meaning you have accountability for driving success and growth of your respective product.

Your future product management team has end-to-end responsibility for a wide range of logistical areas. Therefore, in-depth expertise in logistical capabilities in particular Serial Number Management is an advantage.

What You`ll Do:

The Product Manager for Serial Number Management will report to the Head of Advanced cloud logistics PM and work with the team. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead with customer adoption & satisfaction at every step of the way
• Personify, live, and breathe a SaaS mindset and be a role model to other stakeholders
• Be a strong influencer across SAP and in the market
• Provide product leadership to a highly skilled and world-class product team focused on Serial Number Management that supports the SAP Cloud ERP strategic direction and growth ambitions
• Understand and take ownership (with your team) of customer problems and turn them into product solutions from concept through to requirements, design, and delivery, collaborating with product marketing, engineering, and other stakeholders in doing so
• Engage customers, partners, and other stakeholders at all stages of the product lifecycle to ensure we are solving the right problems and building products our customers need
• Be a spokesperson for Cloud ERP within SAP and with analysts, press, and influencers

What You Bring:

• 10+ years of relevant work experience in the software industry, preferably in a SaaS organization with Product Management; strong CEO mindset
• Sound expertise in one or multiple of the core topics mentioned above is required; ideally in a 2+ year consulting or pre-sales role
• Excellent people collaboration & leadership skills and ability to deal with high pressure from internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent verbal, communication skills with the customers, partners and internal teams, as well as board/executive level presentation skills
• Ideally, an international track record showcasing that you can effectively relate to multicultural teams
• Strong customer focus with previous exposure to key customers, as well as partner orientation
• Self-motivated and results-driven, with demonstrable success in previous positions
• Understanding of how to develop a product strategy and a product roadmap based on developing strong market expertise for a topic or product area
• Fluent or near-native English language skills

The mission of SAP Cloud ERP Product Management team is to drive and grow SAP’s core business as a market leader in cloud ERP. We are responsible for defining product scenarios based on market and target customer needs and translating them into consumable product requirements for engineering teams. We work hand-in-hand with our engineering and product marketing teams, as well as with our customers and partners on continuously improving our SAP Cloud ERP product. Product Management is the authoritative voice of the legitimate challenges customers face, evangelizing an outcome-based product vision and roadmap that truly solves customer pain points by creating products that delight, yet serve the needs of SAP.
