Location details: This role is on-site in the Washington D.C. area and may require travel. The exact location and on-site requirements will be confirmed at a later time.

Evans is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Appian Developer to support the development and enhancement of business applications. This role involves leveraging Appian’s low-code platform to build scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions that integrate with FAA’s existing systems and align with federal standards.

  • Develop applications within the Appian platform, utilizing its low-code capabilities to deliver efficient solutions.
  • Configure features based on business and technical requirements, ensuring seamless integration with systems such as SAS, DMS, and IACRA.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design wireframes, workflows, and UI/UX components that enhance user experience.
  • Understand and apply the baseline settings of the RCSA platform, avoiding modifications to core code to maintain system integrity and upgrade compatibility.
  • Build and maintain APIs and data integrations in compliance with security and data governance standards.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Appian development, including process modeling, and Appian Records.
  • Experience integrating Appian with external systems.
  • Familiarity with FAA systems or experience working in a federal government environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, relational databases, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of federal security standards and compliance frameworks.
  • Appian Certified Associate Developer is a plus.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, or other programming languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Compensation

Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $105,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Evans’s total compensation package for employees.
