JOB SUMMARY

Overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of assigned programs/projects, project management, facilitation of Area, Division and in some instances enterprise-wide initiatives. Key responsibilities include oversight and tactical management of assigned programs/projects, facilitation of Wake Area and NC/GA division projects and in some instances expand to enterprise impact. Projects include but not limited to new clinical services offerings, business operations improvement and supporting new capital expansion efforts. Additionally, responsible for developing and educating less experienced staff in project management operations and practices. Provides leadership to teams with the ability to manage in a matrix environment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree, in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or related field required. Ten years' experience as a Program/Project Manager, having had responsibility for numerous large successful projects delivered on time, on budget, meeting client requirements, with high team satisfaction, including complex integration projects, and projects involving a number of project staff and clients. Previous healthcare experience desired. Experience managing multiple large projects with impact across multiple departments. Experience managing vendor relationships and vendor resources desired

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Adheres to the established enterprise methodologies, practices and procedures for documentation, project management, programming, configuration, change management, testing, deployment and system monitoring to promote accountability within that cultivates a collaborative work environment with our customers and ensures delivery of agreed upon functionality.
  2. Defines project scope, budget, goals and deliverables that support the business requirements in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Directs and manages project development from beginning to end including clear and concise timeline expectations to the project team.]
  3. Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Coordinates resource estimates and participants needed to achieve project goals. Negotiates with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the organization when necessary.
  4. Manages proactively changes in project scope, budget, project issues, potential risks, and devises contingency plans.
  5. Develops and delivers status reports, proposals, requirements documentation, change/risk/issue logs, earned value analysis, meeting minutes and presentations.
  6. Manages clinical, business, and vendor resources in a matrix environment working with appropriate management to secure the appropriate resources.
  7. Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  8. Ensures that all projects have a documented return on investment giving specific details and timelines for that return.
  9. Coordinates and ensures that training specific to the project is planned and executed when required.
