Job Title: JROTC Senior Army Instructor - Must have Bachelors Degree or Higher and must be certified to teach JROTC by US Army Cadet Command. Job Summary: The Senior Army Instructor serves as the JROTC Department Head and is responsible for executing the policies relative to the administration of the JROTC unit.

Essential Duties:

  1. Mentoring all students in the JROTC program.
  2. Preparing and updating lesson plans for the JROTC curriculum and other lesson preparation requirements.

Other Duties:

  • Keeping current and updated with new developments and organizations with the associated branch of the military.
  • Preparing periodic reports on program administration and logistics.
  • Establishing rapport with school counselors and faculty members.
  • Making annual presentations of the JROTC program to students at feeder schools for the purpose of recruiting new cadets into the program.
  • Work with individual students to provide interventions.
  • Job Specifications
  • The JROTC Instructor shall perform those duties pursuant to current regulations, policies, and procedures as established by the governing board of the branch represented and the host school.
  • To implement the mission of the JROTC program.
  1. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required):Certifications required by Military governing board for the respective branch.
  2. Other professional and personal qualifications as deemed necessary for acceptable fulfillment of responsibilities.

Physical Requirements: The physical requirements include being able to sit or stand for an extended period of time, sufficiently mobile to ensure the safety of students, speak clearly so that others may understand clearly, and hear and understand speech at normal levels.

Pay Scale: Minimum Instructor Pay (MIP) as determined by each service branch.
