Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop mechanical components/systems, ensuring alignment with performance, cost, and quality objectives.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., electronics, software, production) to integrate mechanical designs into final products.
3. Manage prototype testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
4. Troubleshoot design challenges and enhance product reliability through analytical methods and testing.
5. Lead and mentor engineering teams to deliver projects on schedule.
6. Partner with suppliers to optimize designs for manufacture ability and cost efficiency.
7. Maintain accurate design documentation and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
8. Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation in mechanical design.

Qualifications

Hard Skills:

1. Strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering principles.
2. Logical problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
3. Proficiency in product development processes and lifecycle management.
4. Familiar with design tools like DRBFM, DFM, DFMEA…
5. Familiarity with industry-standard products and manufacturing processes, design for cost

Soft Skills:

1. Effective communication across teams and global stakeholders.
2. Adaptability and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
3. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to stakeholder needs.
4. Results-driven approach with a balance of quality and cost awareness.

Qualifications:

1. Education background: Mechanical or automotive electronics, bachelor’s degree as minimum requirement, master is preferred.
2. 10 years + working experience in automotive industry, have global projects experience, lead design team, team size > 5 people
