Summary:
The Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BXMO) abides by the legal boundaries of practice based on the knowledge and statutes of the designated State Radiology Technology Board of Examiners and State Professional Occupational Standards. Within the state, the team member performs only those acts, functions, or task that the BXMO is licensed, qualified, trained, knowledgeable and/or skilled to perform. The team member follows and implements the rules and regulations set forth by the standards of practice. The BXMO accepts responsibility for individual actions and continued competence and will complete all competencies and proficiency training required by company policy.

Requirements
Education and/or Experience A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Limited capacity state licensure is required. Applicable state approved limited radiography guidelines to include all body categories as required for the scope of practice.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations State required EMT, LPN, RN license or Medical Assistant diploma or certification if applicable; state required certifications if applicable, Basic Life Support certification is required. The BXMO will work under the supervision of a licensed practitioner.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of EMR, Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word Processing software.
