General Job Description

General Overview

IES Holdings is seeking a seasoned Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solution Architect to lead the design, integration, and optimization of our enterprise-wide D365 platform—spanning Finance & Operations (F&O), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Customer Engagement (CE). This is a key strategic and technical leadership role focused on aligning Dynamics 365 capabilities with core business operations and long-term growth objectives. The right candidate will be both a systems thinker and a hands-on architect with experience across the D365 ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Strategy

  • Lead architecture design across Dynamics 365 F&O, SCM, and CE modules to ensure integrated, scalable, and secure solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into comprehensive technical and functional designs.
  • Develop and maintain architectural documentation, integration maps, and configuration standards.
  • Define and enforce system governance and development best practices.

Implementation Leadership

  • Drive implementation and rollout of Dynamics 365 modules across business units.
  • Provide hands-on guidance for solution configuration, custom development, and system integration.
  • Ensure alignment with Microsoft best practices and compliance requirements.

Integration & Optimization

  • Design and implement integrations between D365 and third-party systems, including legacy ERP, WMS, payroll, HR, data platforms, and cloud services (e.g., Azure).
  • Review system performance and recommend enhancements to drive efficiency, usability, and data accuracy.
  • Oversee change management for platform updates and enhancements.

Stakeholder Engagement & Support

  • Partner with business leaders, IT, and operations teams to align technology roadmaps with enterprise goals.
  • Present solution recommendations and roadmaps to executives and stakeholders.
  • Provide functional and technical training and mentorship to end users and internal teams.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay current on Microsoft Dynamics 365 roadmap, new features, and ecosystem developments.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to continuously improve the platform’s value to the business.
  • Contribute to digital transformation initiatives and enterprise architecture strategy.

Specific Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementations, including at least 3 full-cycle projects as an architect.
  • Proven experience across D365 modules, especially F&O, SCM, and CE.
  • Experience with manufacturing, distribution, or field services environments is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Deep understanding of D365 Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Engagement functionality.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Experience designing integrations using Azure services, APIs, and data connectors.
  • Strong grasp of security roles, data modeling, and business process automation.

  • Ability to collaborate across functional areas and communicate complex solutions in simple terms.
