Purpose

As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a key role in coordinating and maintain a quality management system that complies with regulatory and standards requirements applicable to medical devices, as well as internal requirements. You will be responsible for overseeing the QMS and improvement processes over products lifecycle (from design to commercial phase). Working closely with various departments, you will ensure the QMS is well followed and improve effectiveness. Additionally, you will drive the artwork workflow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document Management : organize and manage documents and records relating to the Quality Management System. Provides associated KPIs. Leads the project to integrate the new electronic quality management system.
  • Corrective and preventive action management (CAPA), change management (GDM) and non-conformities : Ensures the registration and follow-up, as well as the processing of the registrations assigned to it. Provides associated KPIs.
  • Prepares and leads quarterly Quality and annual review meetings.
  • Manage metrological follow-up of internal measuring instruments
  • Manages staff training records.
  • Manage Artworks workflow and validation.
  • Support global complaint & vigilance team for verification of batch quality documentation (batch file, NC, CoA, etc.) first assessment, drafting of Return of goods Authorization.
  • Manage raw material and component release, in collaboration with QA manager is back up for finished product release activities.
  • Support teams for the drafting and revision of specifications and quality agreements for suppliers.
  • Provides support on product development/innovation projects
  • Participates in internal quality audits/inspections.
  • Provides support in supplier audits.

Update quality documentation relating to his/her activity.

Qualification

  • Fluent in French & English
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems
  • Experience in quality / QMS
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive problem-solver
  • Customer-focused with a professional and consistent approach
  • Experience in the Ophthalmic or Medical Device industry is a plus
