Park Hyatt Washington is seeking an experienced leader to join the Sales team as the Associate Director of Events. Key Responsibilities:
As a member of the property’s Assistant Leadership Committee, the Associate Director of Events is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership. This position reports to the Director of Sales, Events, and Marketing.
- Responsible for short- and long-term planning and management of group business
- Carries monthly and quarterly sales quota
- Responsible for creating and managing budgets and monthly forecasting of in-house groups and local catering events
- Responsible for leading all functions of the Sales and Events team, including managing administrative support staff and event managers
- Coordinate with all areas of hotel operations as well as the Sales team
- Collaborate with the Culinary team to curate elevated food and beverage experiences for all in-house events
- Train, supervise, and work with event staff, in all aspects of the sales function to include, but not limited to, soliciting new business, planning and executing existing event, marketing, and administrative procedures
- Work closely with Banquet and Set-Up Managers and their teams to create and ensure quality levels are met on a daily basis as well as enhancing overall banquet set-ups
- Assists in leading the Events team to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel event sales objectives
- Assist in the coaching and counseling of colleagues to reflect Hyatt luxury service standards
Salary:
Starting salary range $75,000 – $100,000 plus bonus eligibility, depending on experience

Qualifications:
- 3 – 5+ years of Hotel Event Sales and Planning experience, luxury setting preferred
- 3 – 5+ years of experience in a senior role in Event Sales/Planning
- CMP certification, preferred
- Service oriented style with professional presentation skills
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
