POSITION TITLE: Machine Operator- Mill Flooper

DEPARTMENT: Tarter Tube

REPORTS TO: Mill Operator

STATUS: Full Time Hourly Position

URGENT NEED

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Load coils of steel onto a reel with a jib crane and tig weld strip steel together.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Includes the following (other duties may be documented and assigned by management, and some duties may not apply dependent upon the requirements of the position at each specific Tarter site and/or the strengths of the employee and the needs of the company):

• Loading coils
• Tig welding
• Maintain clean work area
• Assist in mill changeovers
• Occasional forklift operation to load coils
• Lifting up to 75 pounds

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to follow directions
• Read micrometer and tape measurer

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Must be able to bend and lift up to 75 pounds
• Must wear gloves and other PPE as required
• Dangerously heavy coils are lifted with crane and manually pushed into place
• Risk of being cut if does not pay attention or wear PPE
