WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Providing leadership to the Shipping / Customer Delivery area, ensuring full functionality of the department to meet customer demands by:
- Practicing 2S3D and Lean Manufacturing
- Supporting Associates in the daily performance of their duties through performance planning, on-going feedback
- Establishing, communicating, measuring performance and ensuring clarity of expectations and achievement of departmental targets
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing new methods, processes, etc.
- Scheduling and coordinating of SNAP activities to ensure on-time shipments, accurate documentation, and controlling inventory variances as needed
- Planning transportation with the customer to ensure full utilization of trailers, level daily shipment quantities and maintaining reasonable transportation cost
- Coordinating shipping capacity vs. customer purchase order through supervision of daily Shipping / Customer Delivery operations
- Supervising the processing of EDI (Electronic Document Information) to ensure proper planning, scanning, and shipping of loads
- Maintaining and administering training documentation

HOW YOU WILL QUALIFY:
- You have 2 years’ experience in the Shipping and Logistics field
- You have 1 year of Supervisory experience
- You have knowledge of the Transportation Field
- You are familiar with Microsoft Office
- You have Knowledge of MRP software (preferred)
- MRP system experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- General Office Environment (4) hours per day
- Manufacturing Environment (4) hours per day
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- 2 hours per day bending
- Occasional overnight travel may be required to perform essential functions at remote locations or receive training
- Required to work overtime (unplanned and unscheduled) to meet customer needs on short or no notice
HAZARDS:
- While performing the job the position is frequently exposed to moving or mechanical parts
- Moderate noise levels with specific areas required to wear hearing protection

- Demonstrated ability to learn technical requirements and basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate fork lift and tuggers in a fast paced manufacturing enviroment

WORKING CONDITIONS
Manufacturing / Warehouse Environment 8 hours per day
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Hazards: Forklift / tugger traffic, pedestrian traffic, stacked materials, warehouse dock operations, battery acid, crane operation.
