Senior Administrative Program Coordinator

SOM Multicultural Affairs

Location: New Orleans, LA

Summary

The Senior Administrative Program Coordinator will facilitate the effective implementation of special programs, activities, and initiatives related to School of Medicine efforts to advance equity, diversity and inclusiveness. Specific responsibilities are to support the operation of the Office of Multicultural Affairs. Under the guidance of the Assistant Dean and the Chief Clinical Diversity Officer the position will track and report data, plan and organize recurring meetings and coordinate events.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong ability to use various software programs (such Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Social Media platforms.)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and competently manage multiple projects and deadlines independently and without supervisor review.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Excellent discretion, judgment, attention to detail, and initiative.

Required Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of directly related work experience, customer service, program management, or office management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Tulane University systems such as Concur, HCM, SciQuest, etc.

Compensation Information

This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 24.
