Manager of Development - Systemic Bio

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable leader to join our Development team at Systemic Bio. This role is ideal for someone excited to build and refine new technologies in a fast-paced startup environment. You will work across technical disciplines and lead initiatives supporting the development of our vascularized organ-on-a-chip platform. We are looking for a development-minded leader who thrives in ambiguity, quickly identifies and defines program needs, and forges clear paths forward. You must have experience leading teams in dynamic settings and translating complex challenges into executable plans. Strong communication and collaborative skills are essential.

What You Will Bring

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Bioengineering, Cell Biology, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent industry experience considered
• 5+ years of progressive experience in product or process development
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, align cross-functional efforts, and drive execution
• Experience working in startup or early-stage environments
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Comfort with technical leadership across biology, biomaterials, or engineering areas

Preferred:

• Bioprinting, microfluidics, or tissue engineering experience
• Knowledge of design control, regulated product development, and tech transfer to production
