We are looking for a Test Automation Architect to join our growing team in Plymouth, MN United States!
We are seeking a Test Automation Architect with strong expertise in C# and open-source testing frameworks to lead the development of our test automation strategy. This role requires a visionary leader who can design robust automation frameworks, mentor QA teams, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Architecture: Develop and implement scalable, maintainable, and efficient test automation frameworks using C# and open-source tools (e.g., NUnit, xUnit, SpecFlow, MSTest).
- Strategy Development: Define the overall test automation strategy aligned with business goals, ensuring comprehensive test coverage across web, desktop, and API applications.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to QA engineers, developers, and automation teams. Mentor team members in best practices for automation, CI/CD integration, and performance testing.
- CI/CD Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into continuous integration and deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Tool Evaluation: Assess, recommend, and implement new testing tools and technologies to enhance automation efficiency and effectiveness.
- Quality Advocacy: Champion a quality-first mindset across the organization, promoting automated testing as a key pillar of the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software testing experience with at least 4 years in a leadership or architectural role.
- Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET framework/.NET Core.
- Expertise in open-source test automation frameworks (e.g., NUnit, xUnit, MSTest, SpecFlow).
- Extensive experience with test automation for web, desktop, and API applications.
- Proven ability to design and implement robust automation frameworks from the ground up.
Nice to Have:
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and DevOps practices.
