Veterans Transition Program-Financial Planning and Analysis
We recognize that veterans bring a unique and valued perspective to BlackRock thanks to their extraordinary backgrounds and experiences. The Veterans Transition Program is designed to support veterans in making the transition from military life to the civilian workforce. The Program offers participants the opportunity to work at the world’s largest asset manager for six months. On completion of the Program, successful participants will be offered permanent employment at BlackRock.

Program Structure:
The program begins with an orientation where you’ll learn about BlackRock’s principles, mission, purpose, and culture. You’ll learn about the asset management industry and get an in-depth look at how BlackRock serves its clients. Following orientation, you’ll join your team and gain insights into the day-to-day life of an Associate as you develop subject-matter expertise through on-the-job learning and our industry-leading technology, Aladdin.
Finance & Strategy Overview
Finance & Strategy (F&S) serves as a trusted, world-class global finance partner to BlackRock, delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial information and analysis. As a key driver of business growth, F&S offers strategic thought leadership across the firm, playing a vital role in informed decision-making and enhancing organizational efficiency.
The Finance Platform Strategies (FPS) team is responsible for optimizing Finance’s operating models and ensuring consistency across functional teams. We connect key Finance resources with relevant functional specialists across BlackRock, define business requirements, implement scalable platforms, and maintain efficient, well-controlled processes. Acting as internal change management consultants, we leverage the firm’s people, processes, and technologies to bring strategic initiatives to life and enhance ongoing operations.
With a global footprint, FPS leads and manages initiatives aligned with Finance’s priorities – ranging from regional improvements to global transformations. Our responsibilities span project planning and execution: coordinating cross-functional teams, drafting business and technical requirements, designing workflows, managing vendor or internal development, overseeing testing, and delivering end-to-end solutions. We also support training, stakeholder communication, and adoption to ensure project success.
In addition to project delivery, FPS ensures the continued effectiveness of Finance’s day-to-day technologies and processes. We provide first-line support and proactively resolve issues across key systems, including Oracle Cloud SaaS, FCCS, IBM Cognos Planning Analytics (TM1), Cognos Analytics (BI), and BlackRock’s proprietary Aladdin platform – ensuring sustainable operations and a strong control environment.

For Atlanta, GA Only the salary range for this position is USD$90,000.00 - USD$120,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
