About the role

As a Content Developer – Analytical Content, you’ll lead the strategic development of legal content within the New Zealand Content Management team. Working closely with subject matter experts, you’ll be responsible for the commercial performance of your content portfolio—driving decisions around pricing, marketing, sales strategies, and new product development.

Your legal expertise will help shape content strategies that align with customer needs and market trends. You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and customer discovery to create compelling business cases and ensure our content continues to deliver strong value and market relevance.

Reporting to the Head of Content Management NZ, this is a permanent full-time role based in our Wellington office in New Zealand with combined home/office-based arrangements to have flexible work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy: Ownership and responsibility to develop content strategies from new product ideation, to proposals including major redevelopments or positioning of existing content. This entails integrating Te Ao Māori principles into your work, including tikanga, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • GTM & External Team Support: Establishing efficient tools and methods to support Sales and Marketing teams in promoting and securing sales of products.
  • Relationship Management (external & internal): Establishing key relationships to share knowledge and support external facing teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience as a content developer or equivalent experience in legal or publishing industries
  • Legal practice, legal industry and/or publishing experience
  • An understanding of Te Ao Māori and tikangaHigh level of legal research skills
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Superior reading and legal comprehension skills
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness
